This quaint, small church is nestled in the Town of Bird’s Hill and is filled with warm, caring people who not only enjoy the Sunday Services but also support a vibrant UCW, Prayer Group, Outreach Programs and Adult Education.

At Birds Hill United Church we are a part of God’s family of seekers and servants guided by the teachings of Jesus, accepting and welcoming people of all races, ages, abilities, sexual orientations and gender identities in a safe, just and respectful environment in all aspects of our ministry, with open doors and open hearts.

Ongoing Events (September to June)
• Tuesday Morning Prayer Group (TMPG) meets @ 9:45 am @ the Church or at various homes each Tuesday Morning. Call Louise Chernetz @204-299-7792 to confirm the location.
• United Church Women (UCW) meets @ 1:00 pm @ the Church the 1st Thursday of every month – our next meeting will be on Thursday, September 10th, 2026 @1:00 (Potluck)
- Board Meeting @ – June 4th, 2026 @10:00 @BHUC
- Worship Committee Meeting – our next meeting will be in September – date to be determined
- Men’s Breakfast@ 8:30 am at the Legion on De Vries & Henderson the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month
- Effective May 1st we are collaborating with Gordon King Memorial United Church (also known as The Big Red Church) and Grey Street United Church. Services will be as follows:
- June 7th – BHUC (10:00 am) Worship Leader – Diane McKenty
- June 14th – BHUC (10:00 am) Worship Leader – Diane McKenty
- June 21st – BHUC (10:00 am) Worship Leader – Diane McKenty
- June 28th – BHUC (10:00 am) Worship Leader – Dan Schwartz, and the service will be followed by a delectable Potluck!
- July 5th – BHUC (10:00 am) the start of Church-O-Rama – Worship Leader – Dan Schwartz
- THE BHUC WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE REST OF JULY AND AUGUST AND WILL REOPEN IN SEPTEMBER
- September 13th – BHUC (10:00 am) Worship Leader – Diane McKenty
- September 20th – NOTE THERE WILL BE NO MORNING SERVICE – BHUC (2:00 pm) Worship Leader – to be determined (this service will be a Covenanting Service for Patrick Woodbeck and Diane McKenty followed by a time of fellowship)
- September 27th – BHUC (10:00 am) Worship Leader – Diane McKenty
- T’BJIGGN PLANNING MEETING: Meetings will be held via Zoom or in person as arranged (this is a planning meeting which involves Transcona Memorial United Church, Bird’s Hill United Church; John Black Memorial United Church, Immanuel United Church, Grey Street United Church, Gordon King Memorial United Church (also known as The Big Red Church) and North Kildonan United Church). NEXT MEETING SEPTEMBER 28TH @10:30 @IMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH.

- Did you know that BHUC now has a Ramp to allow easier access to the church hall?
- Our next day for making perogies will be in the Fall, date to be determined. If you wish to order perogies, contact Jackie Waddell at 204-668-8442 and the cost will be $8.00 per dozen
